Since 1998, the Tri-Valley One-Stop (TVOS) Career Center has connected employers with qualified, skilled talent and job seekers with employment and career development opportunities. We’ve worked through economic expansions and contractions; high unemployment and low. Guided by the Workforce Investment and Opportunity Act (WIOA) and its previous iterations, we’ve helped thousands of job seekers find their next career while, at the same time, helping businesses maintain and expand their businesses with the right employees. Our goal is to be an employment match–maker.
Through our ever expanding “High Touch- High Tech” methods, we teach job seekers how to succeed in their search. We build their confidence, helping them find their footing again regardless of their employment goals. For our local employers, we offer recruitment assistance that includes a variety of services. We also have opportunities for paid trainings for job seekers as well as training re-imbursements for employers.
As part of the Tri-Valley community, we collaborate with education, community-based organizations, and economic development partners to develop programs and employment services that meet our region’s needs. Though we collaborate with the entire EastBay workforce system, we primarily serve the Tri-Valley region, including Dublin, Livermore, Pleasanton and Sunol.
TVOS receives funding primarily through the Alameda County Workforce Development Board and the Chabot-Las Positas Community College District. In addition, we are a member of the EastBay Works collaborative network of career centers serving Alameda and Contra Costa counties. This gives us a broad range of resources to help job seekers and employers out of our office in Dublin, California.
We have been at this for quite some time. However, the joy of helping people never changes. We celebrate every time a client finds a job. It means that someone is working toward a brighter future AND a local business is poised to grow. We are proud to part of this community and to play a role in its future.
