The Courtyard Oakland Emeryville located at 5555 Shellmound Street, Emeryville, CA 94608 is currently hiring a AM Restaurant Cook.

Responsibilities include: Complete opening and closing duties including setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, locking equipment doors, etc. Set up, stock, and maintain work areas. Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food. Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist.

Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries; complete safety training and certifications. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional. Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Support all co-workers and treat them with dignity and respect. Support team to reach common goals. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance. Assist with moving, lifting, carrying, and placing of objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift. Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e. g., small print). Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces and steps. Move up and down stairs and/or service ramps. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

In the advertised job title, can we please take off the “Server” portion of the title? We are looking for a skilled cook to replace our lead morning cook. This would be ideal “AM Restaurant Cook”. In additiopn, Please take out the portion in the duties area in regards to taking guests orders and cash handling. I tried editing the discription myself, however it will not allow me to make those adjustments.
